This leading regional women’s health program offers 24-hour shifts, a steady delivery volume, full anesthesia and NICU support, and a well-established hospitalist care model. Assignment Snapshot Location: Tampa, Florida Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – Labor & Delivery / OB ED Start Date: January 2026 (temps available for qualified files) Term: Long-term (6+ months) with extension potential Shift Structure: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) 24/7/365 coverage Monthly Commitment: 10–15 shifts/month Model: 2-Physician OB Hospitalist Model EMR: Epic Licensure: Active Florida license required Additional Requirement: Must be enrolled in NICA (Florida’s Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Association) Program & Volume Details Annual Deliveries: ~1,000 OB ED Visits Annually: ~2,800 C-Section Assists/Year: ~520 Annual GYN Surgeries: ~130 NICU: Level III with 24/7 neonatology Support Services: Dedicated anesthesia, in-house L&D nurses, pediatrics, NICU, MFM access This is a well-organized program where OB Hospitalists manage all unassigned patients, OB ED visits, emergent deliveries, and inpatient L&D safety.
