This opportunity is ideal for a board-certified surgeon with strong adult cardiac surgery experience seeking a rewarding assignment at a Level II Trauma Center. Compensation: $450 Per Hour Position Details: Coverage Dates: June 1, 2026 – July 13, 2026 Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Practice Setting: Hospital-based Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center Weekend Requirements: None Call Requirements: Night call approximately 12–13 days per month Average Volume: Rounding with approximately 1 case per day Scope of Services: Adult Cardiac Surgery Inpatient rounding and perioperative management Collaboration with anesthesia, cardiology, ICU, and surgical teams Required Procedures: Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery CABG Off-Pump CABG Arterial Revascularization using: Internal Mammary Arteries Radial Artery Gastroepiploic Artery Redo Coronary Revascularization (with or without heart valve surgery) Pericardial Window Requirements: Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship Training required Active New Jersey medical license required ACLS certification required BLS certification required
