Doctor of Medicine | Surgery - Orthopedic Location: Lansing, MI Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Hand Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Lansing, MI Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: ASAP - Dec 31, 2026 Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Call Schedule: 24-hr call; 7a-7a 10 days/month Call Coverage: Trauma Call Ratio: Negotiable Patient Demographics: Ages 15 years & older Patient Volume: 4 (follow-ups only) No of Cases: 1 per month 3 per month (summer) Annual ER Volume: 90,000 Physician in Practice: 1 (Hand coverage) 1 community provider (Plastics) 2 hospital employed (Ortho Hand) Procedures: Hand-related procedures, Traumatic hand reconstruction General plastic surgery procedures including Facial laceration repair, Scar revisions, Skin grafts, Flaps Minor burn care Duties/Responsibilities: In-person response when procedures are required Patient contact would include consults, procedures, or follow up visits when scheduled Supported through Trauma Clinic Other Info: Clinic responsibilities are only as needed No additional support staff. Trauma team will support in any way we can, including assisting with rounding Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: Active MI License or willing to obtain BC in Orthopedic, Plastic, or General Surgery BLS & ACLS (higly preferred) Self-Query NPDB Report (within the month)
