Job Summary: Pembroke Hill School seeks a caring, growth-minded educator to join its early childhood team as a roving faculty assistant substitute. In partnership with a lead teacher, the faculty assistant builds community and encourages children to play, investigate, problem-solve, and construct new understandings in a welcoming, joyful environment. Faculty assistants support children's growth and development by preparing materials, setting up learning spaces, and leading experiences that build on student interests, motivations, and wonderings. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, we believe in an image of the child as capable, curious, and eager to learn and make sense of the world. Faculty assistants are positive role models and guides for children, facilitating healthy and productive relationships, and assisting in implementing student-centered curriculum and classroom routines. Qualifications and Requirements: Sub certification or Bachelor's degree or 4th year student in an Education program, required Previous classroom experience subbing or teaching, strongly preferred Embrace the philosophy of the Reggio Emilia Approach and Project Approach.
