Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a vibrant 5-year-old student with diverse learning needs. Duties Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with each child's developmental goals and learning needs Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being Incorporate speech therapy techniques and sensory integration strategies to support communication and sensory processing challenges Design engaging lesson plans across core subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and early childhood education using innovative learning technology tools Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive support for children with autism, developmental disabilities, or hearing impairments Utilize behavior management techniques rooted in behavioral health principles to foster a safe and supportive classroom environment Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool or early childhood students in a special education setting is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for children with diverse needs, including those requiring deaf education or working with individuals with disabilities Experience implementing early intervention strategies for young children with developmental delays or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation procedures in accordance with educational standards Familiarity with learning technology tools used in special education environments to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams Background in childhood development, behavior therapy techniques, literacy education, and Montessori or other specialized teaching methodologies is advantageous Join us in shaping bright futures by providing compassionate, innovative, and inclusive education that empowers every child to thrive!
