Colonial's facility is located in Plainfield (Windham County), CT not Plainville (Hartford County), CT.Colonial is currently seeking dedicated professional LPN on Second Shift (3p-11p) part time 24 hours or Third Shift (11p-7a) part time 24 hour positions at its Plainfield, CT nursing facility.Colonial offers many compensation options to our employees.Most employees choose one of two options:(1) our Agency Rate on second and third shifts ($42.36/hr), which competes with staffing agency rates by offering a higher rate of pay and waiving some but not all traditional employment benefits (temporary staffing agencies generally do not offer any benefits), OR (2) our full benefit package, which is generously designed (more details below) and still comes with a solid pay rate on second and third shifts ($37.22/hr).Option 1 - Prefer Higher Wages Over Benefits? What is Colonial's Agency Rate for LPNs on Second and Third Shifts? $42.36 per hour on second and third shifts for LPNs working at least 20 hours per week part-time or full time (rate includes shift differential and pay in lieu of PTO, extra day's holiday pay, and health, dental and vision coverages) How is the Agency Rate calculated for second and third shifts? $32.22/hr base rate (first shift rate) - starts on hire $2.00/hr 2nd & 3rd shift differential -starts on hire $3.00/hr sign on and retention bonus - (paid to all of our LPNs) $2.20/hr pay in lieu of health, dental and vision coverages - starts when benefit-eligible $2.94/hr pay in lieu of certain paid time off - starts when benefit-eligible $42.36/hr Agency Rate Health insurance is offered starting the first of the month following 30 days of employment.When elected, the $2.20/hr pay in lieu of health benefit option starts with the first pay date of that same month. Paid personal days, vacation days and an extra day's holiday pay on 10 named holidays are offered after employees complete their probationary period (standard 90 days).Employees working for staffing agencies do not receive these benefits and tend to prefer a higher rate of pay when working.Is any other compensation or benefits offered LPNs on Agency Rate? YES! LPNs on Agency Rate earn:$4.75 per hour for working on a weekend off $4.75 per hour for working a shift of 12 hours or more (on a voluntary fill-in basis only, not offered with a routine schedule) 1.5X when working 10 named holidays up to six (6) paid sick days per year (pro-rated for part time employees) bereavement and jury duty defined benefit pension plan credits premium-free short-term disability, life and AD&D insurance -- all without any payroll deductions.Option 2 - PREFER A FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE INSTEAD? Part-Time employees working 20 or more hours per week (employee coverage, including prescriptions) Full-Time employees working 30 or more hours per week (employee plus dependent coverage, including prescriptions) What does health insurance cost employees? Nothing - NO employee paid premiums! NO payroll deductions! What is the deductible for in-network health insurance? By adding a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) on top of your medical health coverage ($1,615 for employee only coverage and $3,230 for employee plus any dependent coverage), Colonial's medical and prescription drug plan feels and acts quite generously: For employee only coverage in the CIGNA network, the practical deductible is $900.After this deductible, there are copays/coinsurance of about 15% until a $5,785 maximum out of pocket is met, which is when all in-network expenses under the plan are fully picked up by the plan. For employee plus any dependent(s) coverage in the CIGNA network, the practical deductible is $1,800.After this deductible, there are copays/coinsurance of about 15% until an $11,570 maximum out of pocket is met, which is when all in-network expenses under the plan are fully picked up by the plan.How do employees use the HRA?
