Job Description
Summary: Responsible for all aspects of nursing care which includes medication passes and wound care, as needed/ordered, and maintaining Providence Living grooming standards as outlined in in the employee handbook, including, but not limited to body piercings and tattoos. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manages residents' healthcare needs in accordance with state and federal guidelines while delivering on the Providence Living policies and procedures.* Provides quality nursing care and assistance with the functions of daily living.* Helps residents with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.* Assists with self-administration of medication.* Responds quickly to emergencies and follows Providence Living guidelines for reporting events.* Measures and records residents' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.* Assists with training of new Certified Nursing Assistants.* Assists community in maintaining all public, staff, and residential areas.* Wears appropriate PPE throughout shift as regulated by CDC and local regulatory guidelines.* Adheres to an updated state or federal regulations, including but not limited to COVID and other infectious virus and disease procedures.* Completes all require training and in-service recertification.* Safety is an important part of the Providence Living culture, as such, all policies and procedures for workplace safety must be observed while on property.* Observes residents, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.* Answers telephone calls. Answers front door. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ALIS-electronic medical charting. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
