Job Description
Southern Health Partners Inc, a leading provider of healthcare services to correctional facilities across the US, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time LPN for our day shift to pick up hours that fit your life. In this unique healthcare and medical services role, you will deliver essential nursing care to incarcerated individuals, helping ensure their safety, dignity, and well-being while supporting the overall health and security of the facility. As a PT LPN on the day shift, you will provide hands-on nursing care within a secure correctional environment. Your typical day will include administering medications and treatments, performing patient assessments, assisting with sick call and intake screenings, and supporting chronic care and urgent needs. You will monitor vital signs, document all care in the electronic medical record, collect lab specimens, and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and professionally. You will also participate in medical emergencies, provide basic life support, and coordinate with providers and correctional staff to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care. This role is ideal for an LPN who values flexibility and the opportunity to pick up shifts that align with personal and family responsibilities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team and correctional officers to maintain a safe, structured environment, following all security, infection control, and medication administration protocols. While prior correctional or acute care experience is preferred, we welcome LPNs with strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress setting. Newer nurses with solid clinical rotations and a desire to learn correctional healthcare will be considered. Southern Health Partners fosters a supportive, collaborative culture built on teamwork, compassion, and professional growth. In this position, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on a traditionally underserved population by providing respectful, high-quality medical, dental, and psychiatric care in coordination with the broader healthcare team. You will play a key role in intake health screenings, chronic disease management education, and patient teaching on medications and healthy lifestyle choices tailored to the correctional environment. An active, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice and current BLS certification are required; ACLS and previous correctional, emergency, or urgent care experience are preferred. You must also be able to pass a background check and meet facility immunization and screening requirements. In return, Southern Health Partners offers a dynamic work setting with opportunities for professional development and growth, competitive benefits for eligible part-time team members, and a supportive atmosphere that values your contribution as a nurse. Joining our team means becoming part of a mission-driven organization committed to regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and enhancing safety and health outcomes in correctional facilities. If you are an LPN seeking meaningful part-time day shift work with flexible hours and the chance to broaden your clinical experience in a unique setting, we invite you to consider this opportunity with Southern Health Partners Inc.
