This role involves delivering direct patient care through the nursing process, demonstrating clinical competence, and upholding the highest ethical standards in nursing practice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to maintain a secure care environment. Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide education to patients and families within the scope of practical nursing practice. Conduct ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and support clinical decision-making. Collaborate closely with supervising RNs or shift managers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Document all care activities and quality monitoring data to comply with healthcare standards. Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members to improve patient outcomes. Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability. Engage patients and families with timely communication and education to support positive health outcomes. Apply critical thinking skills and pursue continuing education to enhance nursing practice. Education Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program is required. Experience At least one year of practical nursing experience is preferred. Requirements Current LPN license valid in the state or through compact licensure. Graduate Practical Nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
