Position Summary The M365 Digital Workplace Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, building, governing, and optimizing Project HOPE’s digital workplace ecosystem—including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Viva, and Microsoft 365 Copilot—to support a secure, intuitive, and collaborative experience for a global workforce. This is a hands‑on engineering role that combines solution delivery with platform governance, security, analytics, and lifecycle management. The role also plays a critical part in enabling staff, programs, and operational teams to build digital capability, responsibly adopt automation and AI, and leverage data‑driven insights in support of Project HOPE’s mission. Principal Responsibilities Digital Workplace Platform Ownership Own the design, configuration, and ongoing evolution of Project HOPE’s digital workplace platforms to ensure a consistent, secure, and user centered experience. Establish and enforce standards, patterns, and governance for core digital workplace services, Including SharePoint intranet and collaboration sites Microsoft Teams collaboration framework OneDrive usage and information management Power Apps and Power Automate Environments Microsoft Viva suite (Connections, Insights, Engage, Learning) Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment and usage Serve as the technical authority for digital workplace platform decisions, balancing usability, security, and scalability across a global organization. Global Intranet & Knowledge Management Lead the technical design and evolution of Project HOPE’s global intranet and knowledge management ecosystem. Define and implement information architecture standards, including taxonomy, metadata models, page templates, and hub structures. Establish content lifecycle management practices that ensure information is accurate, discoverable, secure, and appropriately governed over time. Partner with communications, programs, and business teams to ensure the intranet supports operational needs, collaboration, and institutional knowledge sharing. Automation & AI Enablement Design, implement, and govern Project HOPE’s automation and low code ecosystem using Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot capabilities. Define and enforce platform guardrails, including: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies Environment strategy (development, testing, production) Solution lifecycle management (ALM) practices Partner with departments to identify, design, and deliver secure, scalable automation that replaces manual or fragmented workflows. Enable responsible and effective use of AI enhanced capabilities, ensuring solutions align with governance, security, and ethical standards. Security, Compliance & Resilience Embed security, privacy, and compliance controls into the design and operation of digital workplace and automation solutions. Implement and manage identity, access, and information protection controls, including: Sensitivity labels and data classification Conditional access and identity governance workflows External sharing policies Microsoft 365 activity monitoring and audit capabilities Partner with security, legal, and compliance stakeholders to ensure digital workplace platforms support organizational policies, donor requirements, and regulatory obligations.
