Machine Operator

Career Start is seeking Direct Hire machine operators for a food manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.Machine Operator will safely set up, operate, and troubleshoot production machinery to process and package food/beverage products.Key responsibilities include monitoring quality, performing changeovers, maintaining GMP standards, and ensuring safety compliance.The roles are often in fast-paced, 12-hour shift environments.Shifts Available:6am-6pm and 6pm-6am Key Responsibilities and Duties:Machine Operation:Set up, operate, and troubleshoot machinery to detect defects and maintain efficiency.Production Quality:Perform routine inspections, monitor product quality, and follow Food Safety & Quality protocols.Maintenance & Sanitization:Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including cleaning and organizing around equipment.Documentation:Maintain accurate documentation for production, work orders, and raw materials.Safety Compliance:Operate equipment safely, wearing required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, steel-toed boots).Support:Assist in training new operators and perform cross-training on various equipment.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Physical Demands:Long periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.Environment:Fast-paced, manufacturing setting, often involving loud, wet, dry, hot, or cold conditions.#IND123 Pay:$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours:40.0 - 48.0 per week Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
