Machine Operator (Food Production) - 1st Shift Location:Lake Mills, WIPay:Starting at $20.50/hour (increases to $21.00/hour after qualification)Schedule:Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)Overtime:Fridays as needed Overview A leading food manufacturing company is hiring Machine Operators to support production of cheese and refrigerated food products.This is a great opportunity for candidates with prior machine operation experience in a food production environment.Position Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for running packaging and processing equipment efficiently while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow production schedules.Key Responsibilities Operate packaging equipment including baggers, packagers, and scales Set up and run film and zip materials according to production schedules Perform quality checks to identify defects or foreign materials Conduct required tests such as leak checks and metal detection Monitor and track downtime and production activity Maintain clean and sanitary work areas in accordance with GMP standards Follow all safety policies and food safety procedures Rework or adjust product as needed to meet quality standards Record production data including material usage and product changes Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Qualifications Required Minimum 1 year of machine operation experience in a food manufacturing environment Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules Strong attention to detail and quality Preferred Experience operating packaging or processing equipment Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Skills & Abilities Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, measurement) Ability to read and interpret instructions and safety procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Work Environment Food production facility with strict sanitation and safety standards Requires standing for extended periods Fast-paced, team-oriented production environment Why Apply?
