Global Harvest Foods, LLC is a prominent manufacturer specializing in wild bird, caged bird, and small critter/pet foods.With a 35-year legacy of customer satisfaction, the company operates manufacturing and distribution facilities across key locations, supporting its growth and commitment to quality.Job description We are a mature but growing company with an outstanding opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our team in Roscoe, SD.This position will be responsible for ensuring all products are received accurately and timely as well as ensuring all necessary tests and checks are performed as prescribed in the SOP.The primary tasks will include but are not limited to:Understands the operation of production machinery; assists with set-up and assembly; assists with production tasks as required Practices safety procedures Assists in the training employees in production procedures, safety guidelines and practices, quality control measures, and company policies and procedures Identifies potential problems in meeting deadlines and communicates issues to the Production Lead as required.Communicates maintenance concerns and follows company preventative maintenance schedule.Continuously investigates opportunities to increase efficiencies and reduce costs Participates in additional training as part of job development as necessary Forklift experience Skid Steer and manlift experience Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred.Agriculture experience preferred.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations with limited information.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.Experience operating skid loaders, tractors, forklifts and cleaners.Ability to lift 75lbs.Must be able to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.Valid driver's license.The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and team-oriented, with strong communication skills.Global Harvest Foods provides an excellent benefits package.A pre-employment drug screen will be conducted prior to a job offer being made.Equal Opportunity Employer Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person Pay:$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
