Job Overview The Machine Operator is responsible for operating various equipments to fabricate metal components with precision and efficiency. A Day In The Life Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by: Operating saws and other cutting equipment to fabricate metal components according to specifications. Performing routine maintenance on saws and related equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilizing hand tools and machinery such as press brake machines, lathes, plasma cutting, and laser cutting for fabrication tasks. Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements. Collaborating with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. Conducting quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. Assisting in programming machinery for automated cutting processes when necessary. Maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety guidelines. What will help you thrive in this role? Proven experience as a machine Operator or in a similar machining role. Proficiency in operating various saws and fabrication equipment. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes. Experience with hand tools, press brake machines, lathes, plasma cutting, or laser cutting. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Commitment to workplace safety practices.
