Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. Your expertise in machine setup, operation, and maintenance will be crucial in ensuring smooth production workflows. Duties Set up and operate various manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, and press brake machines to produce components according to specifications. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to ensure accurate fabrication. Program and troubleshoot CNC machines using Fanuc controls, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming, and CNC programming techniques. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, identify issues promptly, and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Handle materials efficiently using forklifts and other materials handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct quality control inspections throughout the production process to ensure products meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and specifications. Assist in fabrication tasks such as welding, assembly line work, or tooling adjustments as needed to support production goals. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine logs, and inspection reports for traceability and continuous improvement. Skills Proficiency with Fanuc CNC controls, CNC programming, CAM programming, and troubleshooting CNC machinery. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, mechanical knowledge, and fabrication techniques. Experience operating various manufacturing equipment including stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, and welding tools. Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately. Knowledge of factory safety standards and experience working within a manufacturing facility environment. Familiarity with materials handling equipment like forklifts; certification preferred but not required. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes. Solid understanding of quality control procedures to ensure product specifications are met consistently. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar design tools is a plus. Ability to work effectively on an assembly line or in fabrication environments while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
