Schedule: 8-hour shift between 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Overview WM Machine has been providing precision machining services since 1999, supporting manufacturers with high-quality components across a wide range of industries. We specialize in mill-turn parts, multi-feature components, and both prototype and production work using a variety of materials including steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, and plastics. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on individual to support daily shop operations and help keep everything running efficiently. This is a straightforward, trainable role for someone who shows up on time, follows instructions, and takes pride in their work. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation Load and unload CNC machines Start and monitor machine cycles (no programming required) Perform basic part inspection (visual checks and simple dimensional checks using calipers or similar tools) Material Handling Receive and organize incoming raw materials Cut raw materials to size using a manual saw Operate a forklift to move materials and parts (as needed) Move parts and materials throughout the shop Shipping & Packaging Package finished parts for shipment Prepare outgoing orders and shipments Maintain an organized shipping area General Shop Support Keep shop clean, organized, and efficient Assist machinists with basic tasks Help keep jobs moving and avoid delays Light Assembly Perform basic assembly work when required Requirements (Screening Criteria) Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time consistently Ability to pass a drug test and background check Basic technical aptitude Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions Comfortable using basic measuring tools (calipers, etc.) Consistent work history Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to learn) Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Standing for most of the shift Occasional bending, lifting, and movement throughout the shop Work Environment Clean, organized, traditional machine shop Non-climate-controlled (heated in winter, not air-conditioned in summer) PPE required: safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection Small team, relaxed, no-drama environment What Matters Most Reliability and consistency Ability to listen and follow instructions Strong work ethic Attention to detail Team-first mindset Benefits Full-time employees are eligible for holiday pay after completing a 90-day introductory period. Paid at the normal rate (excluding overtime).
