Job Description: About the Role: Join our growing manufacturing team as a Machine Operator in 2nd Ops-Rotating Shift (1st and 2nd Shift) focused on grinding, annealing, and value-added processing of plastic stock shapes. You'll work with specialized equipment like centerless grinders, annealing ovens, a plate planer, and precision measuring tools to ensure products meet exact specifications. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on safety and quality. What You'll Do: Set up and operate centerless grinders Load/unload materials into air and nitrogen annealing ovens Load auto-feed and hand-feed grinders using in-feed tables Operate plate planer. Measure rods pre- and post-grind to within 0.0005" tolerance Dress grinding and regulating wheels using diamond heads Program and adjust lay-line printing equipment Select correct annealing cycles for different materials and shapes Perform basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and other tasks and duties as assigned. What We're Looking For: High School Diploma or GED required. 3-5 years experience in manufacturing or machine operation required. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices required. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to multitask Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shift Forklift experience (stand-up and walk-behind) - OSHA certification a plus Willingness to follow all safety protocols and quality standards Ability to work rotating shifts Bonus Points If You Have: Experience with centerless grinding Familiarity with plastic or poly
