Manufacturing Engineer Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, processes and costs in support of Scot Forge customers and employee owners. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the department supervisors and other Scot Forge departments in an environment that fosters continuous improvement, lean principles and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements or modifications in the sequence of operations, work instructions, equipment utilization and other related subjects to improve safety, quality, process and costs. Essential Position Responsibilities: Support manufacturing with a disciplined approach to problem solving (including fishbone diagrams, 6s, value stream mapping, job safety analysis, etc.) in program launches, rework and continuous improvement. Provide effective leadership by constructively challenging deployed processes, inspiring a shared vision enabling others to act, transparently modeling/leading the way. Utilize an understanding of current and potential process capabilities and process control limits to improve quality and to assess incoming work.
