Heraeus Inc. is looking for a skilled \*\ Maintenance Mechanic / Machinist\ \ to maintain the pulse of our visionary machinery and mechanical systems! Step into a role that values your expertise and drive for perfection. \*\ What You’ll Do:\ \ Maintain and enhance production quality by ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Engage in precision machining, managing tasks such as shaping, cutting, and fabricating metal parts—50% of your role. Collaborate with production teams and subcontractors to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, making sure that machines are always production-ready. Perform preventive maintenance across a variety of systems including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyors. Contribute to building maintenance, ensuring the mechanical and electrical systems are up to par, which may involve working on fire detection systems, refrigeration systems, and more. Innovate and fabricate repair parts, using standard turning and plane machines, boring and drilling machines, grinders, horizontal mill, and engine lathe. Record and manage data using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). \*\ What We’re Looking For:\ \ Proven experience and knowledge in the Machinist trade. Understanding of electrical and PLC controls, and able to read and interpret diagrams. Deep knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Minimum of a 2-Year Industrial Maintenance Associate's Degree or equivalent in experience and skill. Exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to work both independently and as a part of a dedicated team.
