We have an exciting opening for a Skilled Machinist on 2nd shift in Enumclaw, WA. This position we are seeking a responsible team member to set up and operate heat treat equipment (Nitride) on 2nd shift. 2nd shift: 1:15 PM to 9:45 PM Your Responsibilities Keeps machines and work areas clean and organized. Performs basic preparation of setups (only as allowed by supervisor on PSPF 013, posted in that cell). Actively participates in High Performance Teams and company-sponsored training programs. Completes additional duties and projects as assigned Who We Are Looking For High School Diploma or G.E.D Minimum 1 year experience as a CNC lathe, shapers, hobbers (& manual gear checking equipment), or mill operator or the equivalent. Ability to demonstrate this knowledge to the supervisor. The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal instructions is required in order to perform the duties described above. Strong attention to detail. Ideally, you will also have Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Previous experience in this field preferred but not required. Physical Demands/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception. This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
