Position Summary We are looking for a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role supports production, maintenance, and project-based work. The ideal candidate will manufacture repair parts, spare components, and consumable items used in production processes. Safe and efficient operation of both conventional and CNC machines is essential. Key Responsibilities Support production and maintenance teams with machining tasks Manufacture repair parts and spare components for production equipment Produce consumable items required for manufacturing processes Operate conventional and CNC machines safely and efficiently Maintain an organized and clean personal workspace Follow all safety standards and procedures Collaborate with team members on various projects Qualifications Experience & Education 5–8 years of proven experience in a machine shop environment Willingness to take a mechanical/machinist aptitude test Ability and availability to complete additional college‑level courses if deemed necessary by the company Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Understand and apply ISO standard tolerancing system and ASME Y14.5 standard Read, write, and understand G‑code and M‑code Use and understand measurement equipment including dial calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and inspection/calibration equipment Problem‑solving for mechanical applications Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, piping, boiler, and steam systems (helpful) Preventive maintenance practices Workplace standardization and cleanliness (5‑S) Operator maintenance (clean, inspect, lubricate) Physical & Environmental Requirements Comfortably work at various heights and equipment levels Stand for extended periods while operating equipment Frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds Work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment Soft Skills Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures Ability to follow safe work instructions Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork abilities Thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment Work Environment & Physical Demands Work Environment: Frequently exposed to fumes, moving mechanical parts, vibration, cooling liquids, and other chemicals Occasionally exposed to extreme conditions including high temperatures Noise level requires hearing protection (may exceed 85 decibels) Well‑lit environment Occasionally exposed to cold temperatures (<55°F) and heat (>100°F) May be required to enter confined spaces occasionally Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk and hear Very active role requiring standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing stairs, reaching above and below chest level, using hands/fingers to handle tools/controls, and reaching with arms Work at various levels, including on platforms Frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds May be exposed to chemical or non‑toxic fumes/dust Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
