Why Work Here Independence.Mail carriers work solo and often listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks during their day.Work less hours, make the same pay.Bi-weekly pay.Work for your local community and get to know the neighbors along your route.Work under the steadfast banner of the United States Postal Service.About This JobDuties and ResponsibilitiesUSPS Contract Mail Carriers deliver mail to homes and businesses in rural areas across the nation.Carriers travel on planned routes, deliver mail and parcels, obtain signatures, and collect outgoing mail along the way.Delivery occurs regardless of the weather, although schedules may be delayed.Other responsibilities include:sorting mail in delivery sequence for active mailboxes, loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle, delivering mail to customer boxes along assigned line-of-travel and other administrative duties as required.Qualifications At least 18 years of age Able to lift 70 lbs Able to work in all weather conditions Driver's License Must have two full years of driving history with a good driving record Reliable SUV or larger vehicle (See Minimum Vehicle Requirements below) Experience preferred Minimum Vehicle and Insurance RequirementsThe U.S.P.S.imposes certain requirements for vehicles on contract routes.Here they are:A dependable vehicle providing 120 cubic feet of usable load space.Think mid-sized SUV or minivan.All-wheel-drive or 4-wheel-drive is preferred.Can be of any age as long as it is in good physical and mechanical condition.$100,000 / $500,000 / $100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance.Job DetailsSchedule & CompensationJob Type:Full-TimeMON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT (6 days a week except postal holidays)08:30am - 3:48pm or until route is complete43.96 miles Compensation:Guaranteed $75,000 a year Post Office LocationThis is where you'll sort your mail before delivering it.2171 State Route 129, South Bristol, ME 04568 Manager ContactIf you have additional questions before applying, please email kaitlin@zetrickllc.com Job Type:Full-time Pay:$75,000.00 per year Work Location:In person.
