Central Oregon Collective is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.We offer a supportive team environment where your skills directly contribute to safe, welcoming homes and workplaces.This position ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with their hands, and taking pride in maintaining properties.Working within the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Central Oregon Collective, the Maintenance Assistant helps maintain and repair all properties owned by the organization, including six residential homes, a 20-unit apartment complex, and the administrative building.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repair Respond to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely and professional manner Assist with preventative maintenance to ensure properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained Maintain grounds, including basic landscaping, snow removal, and debris cleanup as needed Assist with unit turnovers, including repairs, cleaning coordination, and preparation for new occupants Identify maintenance concerns and report larger repair needs to the Maintenance Supervisor Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Follow safety guidelines and organizational policies at all times Maintain respectful, professional interactions with residents, staff, and vendors Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Visual and manual dexterity required for repairs and maintenance tasks Minimum Qualifications Valid Oregon Driver's License Ability to pass a criminal background check Be 18 years of age or older Central Oregon Collective is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.We embrace diversity in all its forms.We provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran or disabled status, or genetic information Pay:$23.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s):This position is 8-5 Monday through Friday, are you available for this shift?
