Position Summary The Maintenance and Facility Lead is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and preservation of the building’s interior and exterior infrastructure. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and high-functioning environment by applying technical expertise in facility systems to support manufacturing operations. The Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for building-related repairs and strategic facility improvements. Key Responsibilities Facility Operations & Structural Integrity: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Ensure the facility's interior and exterior structures are safely maintained and meet all operational standards. Maintain grounds, utilities, and building envelopes to ensure maximum efficiency at minimum cost. Leadership & Vendor Management: Plan, organize, and control facility maintenance activities across two shifts of operation. Lead and coordinate all assigned external maintenance personnel and specialized contractors. Manage work order assignments, ensuring repairs and service work are completed accurately and on schedule. Continuous Improvement & Service Excellence: Drive efforts to improve facility performance and provide proactive service to internal customers. Develop and mentor associates by fostering a culture centered on safety, quality, delivery, and respect. Compliance & Safety: Guarantee that all facility activities align with corporate policies and EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) regulations. Ensure fair, equitable, and non-discriminatory practices within the maintenance team and vendor partnerships. Qualifications Technical Expertise: Proven, moderate-to-advanced knowledge of building infrastructure systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry). Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage external contractors and lead cross-shift operations in a plant or manufacturing environment. Strategic Mindset: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work orders simultaneously.
