Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components. Conduct repairs using welding techniques and mechanical knowledge to fix equipment or structural issues efficiently. Read schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions accurately. Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and maintain automated systems within the facility. Carry out residential painting projects to enhance property aesthetics and maintain visual appeal. Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to identify electrical faults and ensure safety standards are met. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset history. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety compliance and quality standards are upheld. Provide leadership in team settings, mentoring junior staff or coordinating with contractors during larger projects. Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to repair requests and communicating effectively with residents or tenants. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or residential settings with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques involving PLCs and ohmmeters. Skilled in constrution, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and general handyman tasks. Strong communication skills in English and spanish to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for guiding projects or junior staff members. Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely and experience.
