Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary: Under general supervision this position is responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance on all fixed and movable facility assets. Individuals in this position provides a safe and comfortable work environment for employees, patients and visitors by maintaining repairs and maintenance of heating, ventilation & air conditioning and refrigeration equipment for the hospital, grounds and hospital properties. You are expected to smile! Responsibilities Perform preventative, corrective, and emergent maintenance procedures on building mechanical/plumbing equipment as directed or assigned; inspect/change belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, clears clogged drains, and assists in other plumbing repairs under the direction/guidance of a licensed plumber. Maintains boiler room, mechanical room, and utility system logs in the absence of certified technicians, and/or as directed by supervisor during after-hour operations. Perform preventative, corrective, and emergent maintenance procedures on building lighting and alarm systems equipment; Dispose/store used lamps/ballast according to department policies and regulatory requirements. Responds to various system alarms in the absence of certified technicians, acknowledges alarms, resets or takes appropriate corrective actions under the guidance and direction of certified technicians. Perform preventative, corrective, and emergent maintenance procedures of the built environment. Replace broken/damaged screens, blinds, shades and ceiling tiles. Installs/hangs pictures, shelves, signs, racks, white boards, and the like. In
