Position Overview The Maintenance Mechanic- Water Treatment Plant Certification is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment used in the water treatment process. This includes inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pumps, motors, valves, chemical feed systems, filters, and control systems to ensure continuous and safe plant operation. Position Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of water treatment plant equipment including pumps, motors, blowers, compressors, and chemical feed systems. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and plant protocols. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including motor control panels, sensors, and SCADA systems. Maintain and calibrate flow meters, pressure sensors, valves, and other instrumentation. Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and blueprints. Record maintenance activities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Ensure safe work practices and comply with safety regulations and protocols. Respond to emergency maintenance i
