Position Summary The Maintenance Planner is responsible for overseeing maintenance workflows and increasing efficiency and effectiveness within the maintenance teams and resources in order to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The Maintenance Planner will report to the Maintenance Manager and direct activities for the maintenance department in order to maintain compliance with MSHA regulations and equipment manufacturer preventative & repair maintenance. The successful candidate will be a self-starting leader who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with the operations team. Essential Functions Act as primary liaison between maintenance and all other operational stakeholders Identify all maintenance needs throughout the plant and assimilate a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan Collaborate with other department leads and production supervisors on the type of work needed and the best methods for work to be performed; evaluate and review necessary procedures, materials, labor and resource material needed Review all planned work requests for accuracy of information and clarity: defining the scope of work, expected duration of work, materials and manpower needed, cost information, and proper work authority
