Summary: The Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of all plant equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure. This role focuses on a proactive, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategy to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement, while also overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities including scheduling, budgeting, safety compliance, and team development. Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians by providing clear direction, training, and performance feedback. Schedule, prioritize, and assign maintenance work orders, delegating tasks effectively to ensure daily operational goals are met. Promote a positive and collaborative team culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Reliability and Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to increase equipment uptime and reduce unplanned failures. Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations for critical or repetitive equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Oversee condition-monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and oil analysis. Track and analyze key maintenance performance indicators (KPIs), such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). Maintenance Operations: Coordinate the daily maintenance work schedule and manage emergency repairs with minimal disruption to production. Plan and coordinate operations across all shifts. Utilize and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, track equipment history, and schedule maintenance tasks. Assist with diagnosing complex equipment failures and provide hands-on support and technical guidance to the team. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring quality and cost control. Lead machine installations and upgrades, and allocate appropriate resources. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the maintenance team strictly adheres to all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and correct safety hazards and potential issues. Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including OSHA and environmental requirements. Operate the man lift per procedures and guidelines. Administrative Duties: Manage and monitor the maintenance department's budget, controlling costs for labor, parts, and outside services. Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily available while optimizing stock levels. Prepare and present maintenance and reliability reports for management. Participate in the planning and execution of capital projects and equipment upgrades. Support and participate in Kaizen activities. Function as a member of the First Responder team per the WVSM Manual. Promptly report any abnormalities relating to equipment or repair parts to management. Travel and/or overtime as required. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, which include IATF, ISO, TISAX, ISMS, and Safety-related policies. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Three to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with at least one to three years in a supervisory or lead role. Experience with automated equipment diagnostics in a high-paced environment. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with CMMS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and inventory management.
