Maintenance & Shelter Support Specialist Traverse City, MI$17+/hourFull-Time Flexible Schedule (including weekends & holidays) About the Opportunity PMP Personnel Services is partnered with a well-respected local organization in Traverse City that is dedicated to supporting individuals in need within the community.We are currently seeking a Maintenance & Shelter Support Specialist to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests.This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, values helping others, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to keep things running smoothly.What You'll Be Doing This role blends janitorial, light maintenance, and operational support to keep the facility functioning at its best:Facility Cleaning & Upkeep Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, dining spaces, and offices Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas Manage trash, recycling, and waste disposal Perform deep cleaning on a rotating schedule Monitor and restock cleaning supplies Maintenance & General Labor Perform light maintenance (tightening fixtures, painting touch-ups, replacing filters, basic repairs) Assist with landscaping and exterior upkeep Support larger maintenance projects and repairs Identify and report facility issues Shelter Support Maintain daily logs and communicate updates with leadership Track supply usage and assist with inventory needs Support day-to-day shelter operations and special projects Assist in emergency situations if needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift Comfortable performing cleaning duties in all areas of a facility Basic maintenance or handyman skills preferred Strong time management and ability to work independently Professional, respectful, and compassionate communication style Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays Bonus points if you have experience in:Maintenance, janitorial, or facilities work Human services or working with diverse populations Work Environment This is a physically active, hands-on role that may include:Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Exposure to cleaning chemicals and facility materials Working in a fast-paced, service-focused environment Why This Role Matters This position plays a key role in creating a safe and dignified environment for individuals in the community.Your work directly supports the well-being of others and helps keep essential services running smoothly.About PMP Personnel Services PMP Personnel Services is an employee-owned company and the largest independent staffing agency in Northern Michigan.We connect great people with meaningful opportunities--and we're here to support you every step of the way.Pay:From $17.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
