Maintenance Tech

Job Title: Maintenance Person Summary: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Person is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building, and facility. Requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry and a basic knowledge of electrical repair. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includ e the following. Other duties may be assigned. Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain ma chinery and mechanical equipment used in production. Diagnose machine malfunction and operating difficulties. Make repairs or adjustments to keep equipment in production. Perform skilled operations such as filing and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts. Adjust feed and limit mechanisms, gibs, and ways. Perform various activities related to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment to involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting and aligning operations. Assist to determine the nature and scope of forthcoming projects and the requirements for completion. Maintain required maintenance logs, files and preventative maintenance. Perform housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements. Ability to work in a team centered atmosphere and train new employees.
