Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose The General Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, eFulfillment Service equipment, and other building systems.Duties and Responsibilities Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.Performs routine maintenance on building systems.Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.Responsible for performing at your highest level with or without direct supervision.Performs all duties in a manner that supports all safety policies.Adheres to all company policies and encourages peers to do the same.Performs any additional duties as required.Required Qualifications Education:The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.Must be a self-starter with attention to detail and be able to excel with minimal supervision.Ability to communicate effectively with ManagementCo-Workers both verbally and in writing.Preferred Qualifications General maintenance experience Experience with hand and power tools Working conditions Warehouse work volume fluctuations may create a necessity to work overtime and the occasional weekend.The working environment is consistent with a typical warehouse; exposure to noise and dust as well as changes in temperature and lighting.Equipment, such as Forklifts, is consistently used throughout the warehouse.Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes; you will be responsible for the inside of the warehouse as well as the exterior during both the summer and winter months.Equipment, such as Forklifts, is consistently used throughout the warehouse.Exposure to paint, lubricants, aerosols, and other chemicals may be necessary.Physical Requirements The ability to stand, sit, walk, push, and pull the entire length of your shift (generally 8 hours).Be able to handle heights and lift client merchandise from 0-75 pounds from zero to up to 4 hours per day..
