Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct appliance repairs and service technician tasks efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues accurately. Lead small maintenance projects or assist construction teams during facility upgrades or renovations. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management to resolve issues swiftly and prevent operational disruptions. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with hands-on appliance repair, HVAC/R, refrigeration, or mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical principles necessary for troubleshooting complex equipment. Experience working with HVAC systems—including air conditioning units—and refrigeration equipment is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction processes or facility upgrades adds value to your skill set. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate maintenance activities effectively. Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Prior experience in equipment repair, maintenance planning, or service technician roles will set you up for success in this energetic position.
