Job Description
FEECO International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of material processing/handling equipment is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician.Working at FEECO International, a family owned company for 75 years, you will receive competitive compensation with a $3000 sign on bonus, vacation/PTO, excellent medical, dental and vision benefits, company paid short and long term disability, company paid life insurance, 401(k) with company match, 4 day work week -10 hour shifts.The Maintenance Technician is a highly skilled individual who has a strong mechanical aptitude as well as a working knowledge of machines and equipment.Ability to diagnose and repair different pieces of equipment using manuals, blueprints, parts catalogs, vendors, technical experts, etc.Essential Job Functions:Troubleshoot and repair machines, equipment, and forklifts as needed.Order replacement parts, lubricants, and materials from vendors securing competitive pricing.Schedule outside vendors to come in for repairs as needed.In the event an emergency repair is required due to downtime of production, the Maintenance Technician may be called in to help with repair.Perform preventative maintenance inspections for all Shop equipment and machines ensuring that all equipment and machines are operating to efficiency and safety standards.Complete monthly routine safety inspections on equipment and forklifts.Complete routine safety inspection of all machine guarding, belts, etc.Follow shop floor control procedures Follow all safety compliance procedures established by the company.Always work safely using Personal Protection Equipment, such as safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and other PPE as necessary to comply with safety standard policies.Verifies that proper lock-out/tag-out procedures and precautions have been taken prior to any service being performed on a machine or piece of equipment.Attend safety meetings.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Industrial Maintenance or Mechanics Degree preferred Minimum three years Shop experience in manufacturing environment Minimum three to five years of experience working on material handling equipment, welders, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment and machinery Possesses a strong mechanical background Forklift certified or the ability to obtain forklift certification Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.Note:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.The employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.FEECO is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Job Type:Full-time Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
