Maintenance Technician – Job Description Property: Candlewood Suites by IHG – Mankato East Address: 2040 Blazing Star Drive, Mankato, MN Position Summary The Maintenance Technician performs routine and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff. This role supports the General Manager in maintaining building systems and meeting IHG brand standards. Key Responsibilities Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, lighting, and appliance repairs. Complete work orders promptly and document all repairs. Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on guestrooms and public areas. Inspect HVAC, boilers, water heaters, and life-safety systems. Maintain exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lot, and lighting. Perform snow removal and salting as needed. Respond to emergency maintenance calls. Maintain an organized maintenance shop and inventory. Qualifications Previous hotel or property maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work independently. Valid driver's license required.
