Duties are manual labor tasks requiring the physical ability to complete tasks such as grounds keeping, basic electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, basic construction, etc. Work will be performed in all types of outdoor and indoor environments. The core work hours for this position will be Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, occasionally flexing your schedule due to tasks and assignments that must be completed after hours or on the weekends. Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to: Performs routine maintenance duties for properties, buildings, and grounds. To include plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and other duties as needed within the scope of the individual. Use of hand tools, to include but is not limited to drills, hammers, caulking guns, saws, basic hand tools, etc. Grounds work including weeding, mowing, raking, snow/ice removal, flood cleanup, etc. Clean, service, adjust, and make repairs on tools and equipment; operate power tools and equipment, such as electric and gas engine driven compressors, large mowers, portable pumps, and general hand and power tools used in the maintenance and construction trades. Maintain building and grounds as appropriate. Establish and maintain an effective system of communication within the organization and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Work will be physically demanding, tedious at times, and unclean. Completes and files all requisite paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely fashion. Cross-trained to assist staff with all other duties when available. Performs other duties as assigned. Subscribes to the mission, vision and values. Adheres to all QCH and QWC Policies. Position Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older. Must have a current active Washington State Driver’s License. At least 2-3 years of experience in basic construction, electrical, HVAC, etc. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), or ability to obtain with six months within 6 months of hire. Must have knowledge and previous use of basic hand tools to include hammer, screwdriver, drills, saws, etc. Must have the ability to work independently with little to no supervision. Must be able to perform physical functions to include but not limited to lifting up to 50 pounds, crawl, kneel, and work in small spaces. Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI requirements. Knowledge and skills of common office and administrative procedures, and equipment. Ability to work in a cross-culture environment and understand the social and cultural context of the patients. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to effectively establish, maintain, and communicate working relationships with patients, staff, and outside agencies. Preferred: Previous experience in a medical or healthcare facility. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent must regularly see and hear; frequently stand, walk, talk, smell, use hands and fingers to grasp or feel objects, tools, or controls; and occasionally reach with arm/hand and leg/foot to control vehicles and equipment, bend head
