If you're a hands-on professional who loves an early start and making a tangible impact, we want you on the crew! Expected Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The Public Works Department is seeking a qualified applicant to join the Solid Waste team. Successful applicant must be able to work holidays and some Saturday's and when called in for winter operations. Required Skills & Experience: Demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain Solid Waste equipment including rubbish packers, recycling trucks, roll-off trucks. Must also have ability to operate and maintain winter equipment including dump trucks and front-end loaders as required. Applicants must possess good visual acuity for driving and physical strength, agility and stamina necessary to withstand exposure to adverse climatic conditions. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and members of the public. Must possess valid Maine Class A or B driver's license (must provide license number). Must pass pre-employment medical exam and fitness assessment and pass federally mandated drug test. Salary & Benefits: This is a union position, Labor & Trades (Grade 17-CDL) - Starting Salary Range: $26.14/hour to $28.28/hour, plus a $2.00/hour market rate stipend. T
