Maintenance Worker

Classified-Exempt PositionParks and Recreation/Blackwater Falls State Park The Maintenance Worker is part of a devoted team of employees that serve the public through customer service and maintenance of the facilities and grounds at Blackwater Falls State Park. This team member is under the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Performs maintenance and repair duties indoors and outdoors that include all aspects of building and grounds upkeep. Provides excellent hospitality to all visitors through interpretation and notification of park rules, guest reservations and registration, fee collections, staff training, and resolving guest issues. Maintains and cleans facilities. Stocks wood at cabins, and removes snow. Job tasks may vary daily or weekly, depending on the greatest needs of the park. Verbal and written communications skills, knowledge of building and ground repairs, ability to organize and complete tasks, able to operate a chainsaw and lawnmower. Must be willing to take training provided to supervise Rubenstein Juvenile Center residents that perform work at the park. Must have a driver's license. Performs related duties as required.
