MAINTWORK1

Responsible for performing the general janitorial, maintenance duties and light maintenance duties on a day-to-day basis to provide a clean and safe environment for the residents, staff, visitors and others. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend service manuals and written communications. Ability to write basic types of written communication required, such as maintaining of records. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to a resident or staff member. Listening skills include being able to follow directions and interpret concerns. Ability to use basic mathematical solutions in various units of measure. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Current Class C Pennsylvania Drivers License. Experience in the use of hand tools, power tools, general maintenance materials, supplies and equipment, preferred. Ability to rotate shifts and be able to work weekends and holidays, if needed. Must be accessible and available in the event of emergencies.
