Aria – Atlanta, GA Aria, one of Atlanta’s most respected fine dining restaurants, is hiring an experienced Maître D’ / Maitre D / Reservations & Group Dining Coordinator to join our front-of-house leadership team. This is not an entry-level host position. Please do not apply unless you have prior true fine dining or comparable luxury hospitality experience. We are seeking a polished hospitality professional with strong OpenTable proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to actively lead the guest experience in a high-expectation dining environment. This is a highly visible, guest-facing role for someone who understands hospitality at a high level and thrives in an active, detail-driven service environment. The right candidate is equally comfortable managing the front door, maintaining guest relationships, overseeing reservations, and coordinating group dining business. Responsibilities Lead the guest arrival and reservation experience with warmth, professionalism, and confidence Manage the reservation book, seating strategy, pacing, guest flow, and waitlist management Recognize regular guests, VIPs, and special occasions while maintaining detailed guest preference notes Touch tables throughout service and remain actively engaged in the dining room Respond to guest phone calls and email inquiries professionally and promptly Offer basic guidance regarding menus, dining formats, reservation policies, and the overall guest experience Manage group dining inquiries, event communication, agreements, booking logistics, and follow-up Maintain reservation records, confirmations, shift notes, and service reporting Work closely with servers, sommeliers, managers, and kitchen leadership to ensure smooth service execution Help resolve guest concerns with professionalism and sound judgment Requirements Please do not apply unless you meet the following: Minimum 2 years of true fine dining or comparable luxury hospitality experience Strong OpenTable experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment Comfortable remaining physically active throughout service rather than working from a static host stand Friday and Saturday availability Full-time evening availability Preferred Qualifications Prior Maître D’, lead host, reservations leadership, guest relations, or similar hospitality leadership experience Experience in Michelin-level or similarly high-standard dining environments Working knowledge of fine dining food, beverage, and wine service Comfort within a sophisticated wine-focused dining environment Compensation & Benefits $28–$30 per hour, based on experience Paid time off Health, dental, and life insurance for eligible employees Dining privileges Wine education Professional development opportunities Opportunity to join a nationally recognized, James Beard-honored hospitality team About Aria For more than 25 years, Aria has been a cornerstone of Atlanta fine dining.
