Job Description
Mammography Technologist II Multiple Locations Full-Time | $50 to $52 an hour (DOE) Join IHS and discover more than a job: purpose in your work, room to grow, balance you can count on, and benefits that back it all up. Imaging Healthcare Specialists (IHS) is seeking a Mammography Technologist II to deliver advanced, high-quality diagnostic imaging while supporting team development and enhancing patient care. In this role, you’ll apply strong clinical expertise and critical thinking to perform complex imaging procedures, while also mentoring team members and promoting a positive learning environment. What You’ll Do Perform advanced mammography procedures with a high level of accuracy and clinical expertise. Performs and assists in Stereotactic Breast Biopsies and ensure proper processing of specimens and lab documentation. Serve as a role model for patient care, customer service, and team collaboration. Evaluate patient conditions and determine appropriate imaging approaches using critical thinking. Obtain and review patient histories from electronic records, interviews, and referring clinicians. Review imaging orders, perform exams, and ensure adherence to IHS quality standards. Collaborate with medical professionals regarding image-based findings and patient care. Ensure compliance with safety standards, including patient identification and procedural time-outs. Monitor image quality and support quality assurance processes. Report equipment issues and support operational efficiency across departments. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve patient outcomes and departmental performance. What We’re Looking For Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences required. Current ARRT, CRT, and CPR certifications are required. Advanced experience in mammography with strong clinical and technical skills. Ability to train, mentor, and support team members. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Commitment to patient-centered care and professional excellence.
