Management Opportunities: CMC Construction CMC is a full-service General Contractor based in Alaska. We handle everything from small repairs and maintenance to building homes from the ground up, with a specialized focus on fire and flood restoration and mitigation. We are looking for high-level leaders to join our management team. Construction Department Manager We are seeking a seasoned Construction Department Manager to take full ownership of our construction division. This is a high-level leadership role responsible for the overall success, profitability, and execution of all "put-back" and reconstruction projects. You will oversee the department’s financial health while providing the technical guidance necessary to ensure every project meets our standards for quality and precision. Key Responsibilities: Departmental Accountability: You are responsible for the performance of the construction department. You will manage and lead the Project Managers and Production Managers, ensuring they are executing their roles effectively and staying on schedule. Financial Oversight: Manage departmental budgets and maintain strict control over job margins. You must be able to analyze job costing and ensure the division is operating efficiently and profitably. High-Level Construction Decisions: Utilize your extensive background in the trades to make critical technical decisions. You are the final authority on complex repair methods and structural challenges. Strategic Planning: Optimize the workflow of the construction department to ensure projects move through the reconstruction phase without bottlenecks or quality failures. Qualifications: Extensive Construction Background: You must have deep, hands-on knowledge of the building trades to guide managers and make informed technical calls. Proven Leadership: Experience managing other managers and large teams in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong Financial Literacy: A firm grasp on job costing, margins, and budget management is required. 2. Project Manager The Field & Client Strategist The Project Manager is the bridge between the job site and the office. You are responsible for the physical execution of projects and maintaining the relationship with the homeowner. Key Responsibilities: Scheduling & Logistics: Master-level coordination of timelines and subcontractors. You ensure the right people are on the right job at the right time. Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for homeowners, navigating them through the restoration process with clear communication and professionalism. Quality Control: Ensure every detail of the scope is met while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. Documentation: Maintain real-time updates and job notes within our management software to ensure seamless coordination with the office and estimators. Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
