Job Description
A growing specialty insurance organization is seeking a Data & Claims Analytics leader to oversee the integrity, accuracy, and usability of claims-related data across the enterprise. This role is responsible for ensuring claims data is properly captured, validated, structured, and leveraged to support operational performance, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making. The position sits at the intersection of claims operations, underwriting, actuarial, finance, compliance, and technology, and plays a key role in strengthening data quality, reporting consistency, and insight generation across the organization. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain best practices to ensure high-quality claims data capture, validation, and reporting Analyze claims data to identify trends, anomalies, operational risks, and performance insights Develop and deliver claims reporting packages for leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders Clean, transform, and validate structured datasets used for dashboards, KPIs, modeling, and reporting Support ongoing performance monitoring through dashboards, metrics, and standardized reporting tools Ensure datasets are structured and reliable for operational, financial, and regulatory use cases Develop and enhance policies and procedures to improve claims data quality and workflow efficiency Ensure claims data processes remain compliant with applicable regulatory and industry standards Partner with technology teams to improve systems, automation, and reporting capabilities Support continuous improvement of data capture, integration, and reporting processes Partner with claims leadership and third-party administrators to ensure consistent and accurate data entry and documentation Support underwriting, actuarial, and finance teams with data needed for reserving, pricing, exposure analysis, and financial reporting Provide guidance on data interpretation, trends, and analytical best practices to claims and business teams Serve as a key liaison between operational teams and analytics/technology functions Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, claims analytics, or a related discipline Experience in insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry strongly preferred Strong understanding of claims or policy administration environments Experience working with structured data, reporting systems, and operational datasets Working knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, or data management platforms preferred Familiarity with data quality, validation, and reporting frameworks Strong communication skills with ability to translate data into business insights Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
