Position Summary Manager II of Regional Warehousing is a senior operational leader responsible for directing and optimizing all warehouse operations for Florida - while also serving as the Supply Chain lead supporting an enterprise-level business unit. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high performing warehouse operations that support Transmission, Distribution, RRE/Solar, and Telecommunication functions within the region averaging ~ $ 440M in inventory. This leader provides strategic direction and hands on management across materials handling, inventory integrity, and warehouse infrastructure to enable reliable service to the business and its customers. They cultivate strong partnerships with site leaders, corporate business units, and cross functional Supply Chain teams to deliver consistent, value driven operational performance. The Manager II actively drives operational excellence through continuous improvement, accountability, transparent performance management, and the adoption of modern technologies and industry best practices. With full responsibility for the operational and financial performance of regional warehouses, this position ensures compliance with corporate safety goals, optimizes cost to serve, and strengthens long term supply chain resiliency. Manager II represents Supply Chain in enterprise and regional leadership forums, championing material management strategies and supporting critical business initiatives. This role requires a proactive, results oriented leader who excels in problem solving, collaborates effectively across the organization, and can independently steer operations toward higher performance, partner trust, and operational competitiveness. Responsibilities Management of the receipt, storage, tracking, and issuance of material valued at approximately $250 million across Regulated Renewables, Transmission, Customer Delivery, and Telecom within the regional jurisdiction of Duke Energy Carolinas, Florida and Midwest. Responsible for all warehouse operation transactions including receiving, storage and issuance 5.24M transactions valued at over $1.7B annually. Includes working with procurement and logistics to meet business unit’s requirements for optimal performance. Evaluation of metrics and adjustments to process as required Management of equipment Management of excess or obsolete material Management of inventory and key alliances with vendors Manages and is the process owner for all physical and inventory counts and audits Manages the budget for warehouse operations in the region Develops relationships with business unit leadership (Regulated Renewables, Transmission, Customer Delivery and Telecom), including knowledge of forecasting, long range plans, and significant projects. Address all process concerns quickly and swiftly Manage Supply Chain tactical and strategic safety improvement plans Learn and support business unit operation models Serves as single point of contact for business unit’s leadership during major projects Directs project management efforts for Supply Chain major projects Maintains a productive and motivated staff through effective human resource management and the implementation of appropriate personnel policies. Promotes a common direction on operational excellence, adherence to process and policies Ensure full compliance with operational standards and procedures and drive a culture of operational discipline for supervisors Implement plans for employee and supervisor personal development plans, promote active coaching initiatives and make sure employees are well informed about expectations Supports goals and measures in place to support Supply Chain strategic plan Monitors performance management and salary administration to ensure consistency and equity Interfaces regularly with peers and management to promote effective communications, collaboration to resolve
