Who you are The ideal candidate has corporate development or transaction experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment 3+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a comparable strategic finance role At least 2 years of hands-on M&A transaction experience, spanning the full deal lifecycle from origination through to close, within a corporate development environment A background in the satellite, aerospace, defence, or deep tech sectors is strongly preferred Candidates who bring a solid grasp of complex hardware/software systems and extended development timelines will be given priority consideration Prior experience at a high-growth, venture-backed startup at Series A through Series C stage is advantageous Exceptional ability to synthesize complex topics into compelling, executive-level presentations, with a sharp instinct for translating strategy into clear narratives Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field MBA from a top-tier institution is highly preferred Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills with a strong understanding of accounting principles Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, evolving environment What the job involves The Manager, Corporate Development will support the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic opportunities to accelerate Skylo’s growth. This role will assist in due diligence, financial analysis, and integration planning, while contributing to companies long term planning and investor relations Conduct in-depth market research on potential M&A targets, competitors, and industry trends within the New Space/satellite sector Build and maintain competitive landscaping reports and identify white space opportunities for inorganic growth Develop and scale long-term planning models that forecast multi-year contract revenue and simulate various strategic investment scenarios Design, build, and manage complex three-statement financial models for target companies or partnerships, including projections, synergy analysis, and sensitivity testing Develop robust valuation analyses, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (public and private), and precedent transaction analysis Perform accretion/dilution analysis and other financial impact assessments for proposed transactions Own the development of ongoing reporting and strategic materials for the Board of Directors and Investors, translating complex operational data into clear strategic insights Support the execution of financial, commercial, and operational due diligence efforts, coordinating requests and tracking information flow with internal teams and external advisors (bankers, legal counsel, consultants) Structure and prepare detailed transaction presentations, investment memoranda, and summaries for executive review and Board approval
