Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Manager of Labor and Delivery (RN) for a top healthcare client in Corpus Christi, TX . This leadership role oversees daily operations of a 19-bed Labor and Delivery unit, including 5 OBED rooms and 3 surgical suites. The Manager ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered maternity care while supervising 80 FTEs and collaborating closely with the Director of Women’s Services to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Job Responsibilities Manage the daily operations and clinical performance of the Labor and Delivery department. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance evaluation for nursing and support staff. Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure safe, efficient patient care. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other clinical leaders to promote positive patient outcomes. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, quality standards, and evidence-based practices. Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and quality improvement initiatives. Serve as on-call leader for postpartum, antepartum, and labor/delivery units on a rotational basis. Foster a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Requirements Education Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred Experience Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last year) leadership experience in Labor & Delivery required Certifications/Licenses Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or Compact State) Skills or Competencies Strong leadership and communication skills
