POSITION TITLE : Manager, Prevention Services - DuPage County STATUS : Exempt, FT GRADE : 5 DEPT: Safety & Wellness, Sexual Violence Support Services PROGRAM: Prevention Education and Training REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Education and Partnerships SUPERVISES: Preventionists , Contractors, Interns, and Volunteers *Note: This announcement also is valid for a bilingual Manager, Prevention Services SUMMARY : Manager, Prevention Services oversees the development, delivery, and evaluation of YWCA prevention education and training content and programs for diverse audiences; provides strategic leadership to an assigned team; and builds and sustains strong community, regional, and state partnerships. The role collaborates across the organization to promote alignment and synergy among YWCA programs, with a strong commitment to racial justice and equity-centered prevention work. COLLABORATES WITH: All personnel and teams associated with Sexual Violence Support Services, Workforce Development and Youth and Potential Teams, Strategic Engagement and Administration and institutions, community organizations and coalitions and other YWCA stakeholders. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Operations: Responsible for development and implementation of program goals and performance outcomes, program operations inclusive of policies and procedures, contract and staff compliance, and consistently high-performance service delivery. Develop, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-informed education and training curricula and content for diverse audiences, ensuring alignment with evolving marketplace needs and stakeholder interests. Participate in service delivery. Strategic Leadership: Build and sustain collaborative cross-sector partnerships at the community, regional, and state levels to advance prevention services across the service area. Provide comprehensive supervision and personnel management, including recruitment, screening, training, performance monitoring, and evaluation. Lead and support coalition building, community mobilization, public policy initiatives, and social norms change through coordinated internal and external communications and targeted stakeholder engagement, grounded in a public health prevention framework. Advance innovative leadership strategies rooted in training and social learning, using culturally inclusive and responsive approaches that foster a healthy organizational climate and sustainable culture. Enhance Discovery & Community Engagement: Support the development of education and training innovation that fulfills the agency’s strategic impact. Inspire “innovation partners” and participating collaborators in activities to identify, create, and articulate institutional and community prevention education and training opportunities. Network with local organizations, state agencies and coalitions, providing education and training related to sexual and other forms community violence in schools, the workplace, and other settings. Reporting and Content Development: Maintain awareness of mandated reporting requirements and report related incidents as required. Maintain member confidentiality as designated by law or funding sources. Manage and maintain comprehensive statistical records, in accordance with funding and YWCA guidelines. Monitor performance to ensure achievement of grant deliverables. Prepare and submit timely grant reports. May also contribute to proposal writing. Create content for YWCA’s website, social media accounts, newsletter, and other communication/marketing platforms and materials. Professional Development: Complete twelve (12) hours per year of continuing education focused on sexual assault prevention and leadership. Complete other continuing education and training as set by YWCA. NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead or assist with planning of special programs, i.e., Sexual Assault Awareness Month, YWCA Week without Violence, and Day of Commitment. May contribute to program design and other organizational areas. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED: Other duties outside of the responsibilities of the position may be assigned, whether for a project, special needs task, or other assignment inclusive of supporting YWCA’s on-call Rape Crisis Hotline. QUALIFICATIONS: Subject Matter Expertise: Experience in gender-based violence/community violence, prevention initiatives, community mobilization/organizing or racial/social justice issues is preferred.
