Job Summary: The Manual Machinist is responsible for producing, repairing, and modifying precision mechanical parts used in electric motors and related industrial equipment. The role centers on operating manual machine tools, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring high‑accuracy machining to support motor repair and fabrication operations. Essential Functions: Machine parts as required to the exact specifications Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, and boring. Perform various metalizing techniques as needed. Fabricate and manufacture various parts Follows all electrical safety rules. Keeps facility clean and orderly. May be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting. Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting. Regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities. Observes safe work practices and safety methods; performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent Must be able to operate various manual lathes 3 + years of Manual Machinist experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and able to stand/walk for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications: Spray Welding: 1+ years (preferred) Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time Occasionally move about within the shop to gather materials Must be able to bend, climb, stoop, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds without difficulty Work Environment: Work is primarily performed indoors in a climate-controlled shop. Reporting Relationships The Manual Machinist reports to the Motor Shop Manager Hours: Monday - Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) Occasional Voluntary Overtime Pay Frequency: Weekly FLSA Status Non-Exempt Employee Benefits: 401(k) Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
