YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS JOB I F YOU ARE/HAVE … Interested in hands-on design and implementation of equipment in a chemical plant environment . Someone who enjoys being on the plant floor and working with the operations teams. Comfortable troubleshooting equipment and optimizing performance. Motivated by improving safety, reliability, and uptime in real processes. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support installation, integration, and startup of new automation and process equipment that will improve batch processing speed, reliability, quality, as well as process and operational safety. Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues and work with maintenance team and external contractors to correct issues impacting plant uptime. Implement safety initiatives and STOP Card projects which identify and correct site or personnel safety hazards. Provide field support during startups, process upsets, and abnormal operating conditions. Modify and troubleshoot basic PLC and HMI systems to support new equipment and process improvements. Work with various contractors and vendors during equipment installation and commissioning. Support OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) elements including Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety. Review (PSSR), Mechanical Integrity, Procedural creation. Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs/HAZOPs) and implement electrical and control-related safeguards. Lead electrical root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions. Ensure compliance with NEC, and hazardous area classification requirements (Explosion Proof Class 1&2, Div 1&2). Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, loop diagrams, and any associated documentation necessary. Support electrical scope development for capital and reliability projects. Lead small to mid-sized electrical and automation projects. Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in automation of chemical, process, or industrial manufacturing environments. Working knowledge of PLCs, power and control wiring, and industrial electrical systems. Experience installing new automat
