What We Offer: Competitive starting salary Major Medical/Dental/Vision 401k Company Match Paid time off & Holiday Pay Company paid life insurance Company paid long term disability Uniforms and yearly work boot allowance Job Summary A Lubrication Oil Blender is responsible for precisely mixing base oils and additives in specific proportions to create various types of lubricating oils according to customer specifications, ensuring quality control by monitoring the blending process, taking samples for testing, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment within an oil blending facility. Key Responsibilities: Blending Operations: Accurately measure and dispense base oils and additives into blending tanks based on formulated recipes. Monitor the blending process, adjusting flow rates and mixing times as needed to achieve desired product properties. Perform quality checks by taking samples from the blend and submitting them to the laboratory for analysis. Make adjustments to the blend based on laboratory results to meet required specifications. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of base oils and additives. Monitor stock levels and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely production. Quality Control: Adhere to strict quality standards and safety protocols throughout the blending process. Document blending activities and maintain detailed records for traceability. Identify and report any deviations from specifications or potential quality issues. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain blending equipment, including pumps, tanks, and metering systems. Perform basic maintenance tasks on blending equipment and report any malfunctions to maintenance personnel. Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety procedures related to hazardous materials handling and personal protective equipment. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and proper waste disposal practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Knowledge: Understanding of oil chemistry, viscosity grades, and additive packages. Math Skills: Ability to accurately calculate proportions and measurements for blending. Attention to Detail: High level of precision required to ensure accurate blending. Quality Focus: Commitment to maintaining product quality standards. Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with production management software for recording data and tracking blends.Work Environment: Industrial setting within an oil blending plant. Exposure to noise, fumes, and potential hazardous materials.
